If so; can anyone tell me if it is feasible to do intraday pairs trading. I have been doing simulation with equity pairs: FNM - FRE and some others using linear regression because I am assuming that the pairs have a higher probablity of converging back to the mean from Sigma2... but lately I have also been looking at just plain old single equities(ie: SPY, XLE etc.) and have found that they also regress back to the mean from Sigma2 .... I guess what I would like to know is if my technique is working because of my unique linear regression technical analysis setups or is it because of the pairs (since I haven't done enough testing on single equities).
